Farmers & Merchants Bank and F&M Bancorp Announce New Venture in Springboro, Ohio!
Miamisburg, OH – F&M Bancorp and Farmers & Merchants Bank is proud to announce they have acquired the land and building located at 465 N Main St in Springboro. This is the current home of Main Street Deli; a local eatery offering soups, salads, subs, breakfast and baked goods. FM Bank has plans to create a multifunctional space that can be utilized by the community in Springboro, Ohio. This conceptualized multifunctional space includes plans to keep the Deli operational while also creating areas for local groups and organizations to convene. FM Bank will also include a functioning teller line and drive-thru at this location to further meet the needs of their current and future customers.
FM Bank President & CEO Shon Myers stated “We are very thrilled to bring our COMMUNITY BANK to Springboro where I have lived for decades. We want to create an experience that residents of the area will enjoy and want to visit often. By constructing this communal space we hope to support this community in a way that creates a positive ripple effect.
Cincinnati based K4 Architecture will be designing and implementing the building/space for FM Bank. The timeline for this project is roughly projected to be almost two years due to expected zoning changes and construction.
Springboro based, Main Street Deli, plans to remain open in their current location for the remainder of 2020. The owner, Steve Swank, indicated he is ready to retire from food service and pursue other interests. The family members of Steve Swank have expressed interest in keeping the business open within the newly renovated space with FM Bank.
FM Bank recognizes the needs and wants of the Springboro community. So rather than simply offering just another bank they are creating a whole new concept. Creating a viable community space and becoming a committed community partner with the citizens of Springboro, Ohio.
