Farmers & Merchants Bank and F&M Bancorp Announce New Director

Miamisburg, OH – F&M Bancorp and Farmers & Merchants Bank announced at its annual shareholders meeting that Michael E. Stover has been appointed to fill the remaining term of Director Gregory R. Bell on the Board of both companies. Director Bell’s seat was vacated due to term limits. Current Chairman Shon Myers states “Director Bell has been a great asset on the Board and brought a wealth of knowledge and business experience and will be missed.”

Mike was raised in a family-owned business, worked as a controller for a local manufacturing company, and as an auditor for a national accounting firm before joining the CPA firm of Brady, Ware & Schoenfeld, Inc. in 1989. In 1998 he became a Director/Shareholder. He assists clients in developing strategies for organizing, operating, and selling their businesses.  With extensive experience with corporate, partnership and individual taxation, he serves many closely held business clients. He has developed a special expertise in business valuations and earned his ABV (Accredited Business Valuation) accreditation from the AICPA in 1999. Today, he leads the firm’s Business Valuation Services team.

Mike is a member of The American Institute of CPAs and The Ohio Society of CPAs. He is also a member of the Dayton Association of Tax Professionals, and the Oakwood Rotary Club. Mike is also a Founding Member of Warped Wing Brewing Company in Dayton, Ohio.  This craft brewery opened in January 2014 in a refurbished brass and iron foundry in downtown Dayton and is now selling their own creative styles of ales and lagers in over 800 retail establishments throughout southwest and central Ohio.
